*** Photo store temporary closure as precaution! (see reason below) ***
The last few days we have been working through a bit of a crisis.
A few days ago while performing a normal photos backup the power fluctuated to an extreme degree!
Unfortunately, our $$$ uninterruptable power source (UPS) did not kick (as guaranteed) and both the mounted encrypted local working SSD and massive photo archive drives were damaged and have since become completely inaccessible.
When these local storage drives failed to allow mounting (a critical scenario) we had to have our remote offsite backup drives express shipped as a replacement.
The scary part is at this point our backup is all we have for much of our exclusive 15 TB photo library!
So for now we will try to create backups as carefully and quickly as possible with new drives and UPS. Until this has been successfully completed we are holding our breath!!!
Unfortunately, it literally takes several days to backup this massive amount.
Stay tuned, we will keep you posted on the securing and new backup of these critical files!
